Why did I keep having breast cancer a secret? Because when people hear I had cancer, they think… “If YOU could get sick, Fran, I’m doomed. YOU take care of yourself… If you could get cancer, and you eat right and know what you’re doing, what can I expect from my own life?” Because the truth is, none of us are immune from cancer, right? We’re all at risk. And it makes being well all the more important, so you’re strong and healthy when things come up unexpectedly.
And of course, there was another reason to keep my illness under wraps. My very close relationships with my clients could have them wishing I’d let THEM support me. If you’re reading this, I know you would have done so. But my role is to be there for YOU, my tribe. And this article is part of that journey. I hope it serves you. Thanks for your comments, and thanks for sharing the article. http://www.recordonline.com/article/20141006/HEALTH/141009922/0
