Yup, that’s the holy grail, and I wish they’d have come to me! I could have told them, from 23 years of clinical experience and and thousands of clients’ success stories, that the answer is not restricting protein OR restricting fat, the two alternatives in this study. Instead, the key is having adequate amounts of both, and restricting refined and processed carbohydrates, replacing them with plenty of non-starchy vegetables, and starches from nutrient-rich real food, like sweet potatoes and winter squash.
